HANOI, July 9 (Reuters) - Vietnam, which has been severely strained by double-digit inflation this year, plans to keep fuel prices including petrol, coal and power unchanged until the end of 2008 despite mounting pressure from high world energy prices.

Prices of petrol, diesel, power, coal, steel and fertiliser "will not be raised in the remaining six months of 2008," Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Bui Xuan Khu said in a government report seen on Wednesday. (Reporting by Nguyen Nhat Lam; Editing by Michael Urquhart)
