THANH NIEN

-- Bank loans extended under the government's interest rate subsidy package have reached 372.27 trillion dong ($21 billion) as of late last week, up 4.25 percent from the previous week, the central bank said.

LAO DONG

-- Several banks have increased interest rates on dong deposits to more than 10 percent as they compete to raise more longer-term funds, the central bank said.

TUOI TRE

-- The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange .VNI said it had about 600,000 active trading accounts now.
