Turkey sees '09 power investment rising to $4.5 bln
ISTANBUL, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Turkey's state energy markets regulator said on Wednesday it expects private sector investments to rise to more than 6.7 billion lira ($4.5 billion) this year from 4.8 billion lira last year.
Hasan Koktas, the head of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority, told a conference that his agency has received 687 applications to date for new new wind power stations in Turkey. (Reporting by Melis Senerdem, writing by Ayla Jean Yackley)
