Bosnia leaders agree to allow power grid function

SARAJEVO, Nov 6 (Reuters) - The prime ministers of Bosnia's two rival regions agreed on Friday to remove obstacles that have prevented the national power grid from operating normally and enable stalled investment into the power sector.
The operation of the Elektroprenos company has been obstructed by Bosnian Serbs for more than a year, prompting an international peace envoy in September to impose a set of rulings enabling the continuation of the company's work.
The Serbs had rejected envoy Valentin Inzko's decisions and said they would continue to boycott the company's work until shareholders agreed on how to solve the problems.
"We have reached an agreement to unblock Elektroprenos," Serb Republic Prime Minister Milorad Dodik told reporters after meeting Federation Prime Minister Mustafa Mujezinovic in Sarajevo.
Bosnia's two ethnically divided regions, the Muslim-Croat federation and the Serb Republic, jointly own Elektroprenos.
The two regional leaders agreed to call by Nov. 15 the session of the company's managing board, which will extend the mandate of some officials until a new board has been chosen, a statement from the Mujezinovic's office said. Continued...
