FACTBOX-Forecasts for the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season
June 4 (Reuters) - The Tropical Storm Risk Inc. forecasting team reduced its Atlantic hurricane forecast on Thursday, predicting the six-month season will see 10.9 tropical storms, including 5.2 hurricanes.
In April, the London-based researchers said they expected to see 15 tropical storms, of which 7.8 would become hurricanes.
All the major forecasters who have already issued their predictions say the season will be less active than last season, which produced 16 storms.
The Atlantic season officially began on Monday.
