Exxon L.A. refinery reports flaring - filing
HOUSTON, July 6 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp's (XOM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) 150,000 barrel per day (bpd) Los Angeles market refinery in Torrance, California, reported planned flaring on Saturday, according to a notice filed with California pollution regulators.
The notice filed with the California Office of Emergency Services did not state what unit or units may have been involved in the flaring.
A sulfur recovery unit at the refinery restarted on Monday and a hydrogen plant restarted on Tuesday.
Flaring is used when a refinery equipment cannot process feedstock normally due to either planned or unplanned interruptions. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Leslie Adler)
