Anadarko evacuating workers from Gulf of Mexico for Ida
HOUSTON, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Anadarko Petroleum Corp (APC.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said it was evacuating workers on Sunday from platforms in the eastern Gulf of Mexico ahead of charging, strengthening Hurricane Ida, but no offshore production has been shut.
"Based on the current storm track, we have begun to evacuate personnel and secure some facilities in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico," the company said in a statement posted on its website. (Reporting by Erwin Seba, editing by Maureen Bavdek)
