US Cash Products-Gulf mogas up on power outage
NEW YORK, May 11 (Reuters) - Gasoline differentials in the U.S. Gulf Coast climbed 2 cents on Monday on news that Shell's Deer Park refinery was hit by a power outage.
Shell's 332,000-barrel per day Deer Park, Texas refinery was hit by disruptions to production after an unplanned power outage at the Calpine steam utilities plant. [ID:nN11533489]
In other refinery news, BP restarted its sour crude distillation unit at its Whiting, Indiana refinery after planned work. [ID:nN11259367]
Irving Oil said Monday it had begun the restart of the gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracker at its Saint John, New Brunswick refinery. The refinery exports about 100,000 bpd of gasoline to the Northeastern U.S. market.[ID:nN11525588]
Frontier Oil said its El Dorado, Kansas refinery, which was shut by a power outage on Friday, was restarting and would reach planned rates later Monday.[ID:nN11527572]
