Coast Guard investigates natural gas pipeline blast

HOUSTON, March 12 (Reuters) - The U.S. Coast Guard said on Wednesday it was investigating a natural gas pipeline explosion reported 15 miles (24 km) off the Louisiana coast on Tuesday night.

The captain of the Motor Vessel Jillian Morrison reported the explosion on the pipeline, the Coast Guard said. Six crew members of the vessel, which does underwater pipeline welding, were injured and one crew member was missing. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
