Chile's Colbun to issue up to $93 mln in bonds
SANTIAGO, June 12 (Reuters) - Colbun COL.SN, Chile's No. 2 electricity generator, said on Friday it plans to issue up to $93 million worth of bonds to finance projects and refinance debt.
Colbun told Chile's market regulator it planned to issue short-term bonds denominated in inflation-indexed peso units against a shelf registration filed in mid-2008.
"The funds from the placement ... will be used to finance future projects and working capital of the issuer, refinance current debt and pay the costs associated with the placement," Colbun said in a prospectus sent to the regulator. (Reporting by Manuel Farias; editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
