Small tank burns at Corpus Christi, Texas refinery
HOUSTON, May 24 (Reuters) - Lightning ignited a fire in a small storage tank at Flint Hills Resources 288,126 barrel per day refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Saturday night, according to a report on a Corpus Christi television station's website.
A Flint Hills representative was not immediately available on Sunday to discuss refinery operations.
A refinery spokesman told KIII-TV that refinery production was unaffected by the storage tank fire.
Saturday's blaze is the second fire this week at Flint Hills Corpus Christi refinery.
A corrosion inhibitor tank caught fire on a gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit at the refinery on Tuesday. The FCC was shut for about 24 hours after Tuesday's fire.
