Obama shocked at Iraq base shooting, wants probe
WASHINGTON, May 11 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama was shocked by news that a U.S. soldier opened fire on fellow troops at one of the main U.S. bases in Baghdad, killing five, and wants a full investigation, the White House said on Monday.
"He's obviously saddened to hear the news this morning from Camp Victory," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told a news briefing. "He was shocked by the news of this incident and will press to ensure that we fully understand what happened."
