Tullow says Ghana reserves could be 1.8 bln bbls

LONDON, July 9 (Reuters) - UK-based oil explorer Tullow Oil (TLW.L: Quote, Profile, Research) said reserves at its Jubilee field in Ghana could be as much as 1.8 billion barrels and that it was on track for first oil in 2010.

"The recoverable resources of the field are now estimated to range from 500 million barrels up to 1.8 billion barrels," Tullow said in a statement on Wednesday. (Reporting by Tom Bergin)
