LONDON, May 13 (Reuters) - Britain must rebuild large parts of its electricity grid network to have any chance of meeting ambitious renewable energy targets for 2020, according to Britain's fifth largest electricity provider ScottishPower.

The European Union has said Britain should get 15 percent of all its energy from renewable sources by 2020, and ScottishPower says up to 45 percent of Britain's electricity will have to come from renewable sources to hit the EU target.
