Peru cenbank buys $95 mln, sol gains 0.40 pct

LIMA, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Peru's central bank bought $95 million in the local spot market as the sol currency closed trading 0.40 percent stronger at 3.245 per dollar on Wednesday.

The central bank announced its intervention as the sol gained after the government announced a stronger-than-expected economic expansion in 2016. (Reporting By Ursula Scollo; Editing by Chris Reese)
