RBI worried about inflation in essential items: chief

JAMMU, India (Reuters) - The Reserve Bank of India is worried about inflation in essential items, Governor Duvvuri Subbarao said on Tuesday.

India's headline inflation edged up a faster-than-expected 6.95 percent from a year earlier in February, after a spike in vegetable prices fanned food inflation.
