BANGALORE, Nov 4 (Reuters) - The following corporate finance-related stories were reported by media on Wednesday:

* Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc (BRKa.N: Quote, Profile, Research) has joined Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N: Quote, Profile, Research) in a bid to buy $3 billion in tax credits from mortgage giant Fannie Mae, the Wall Street Journal's website reported, citing people familiar with the matter. * A settlement is near in a lawsuit that could have blocked eBay Inc (EBAY.O: Quote, Profile, Research) from selling a majority stake in Web phone service Skype to Index Ventures and other investors for $1.9 billion, sources told the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday. [ID:nN03522549]

* Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (1398.HK: Quote, Profile, Research) (601398.SS: Quote, Profile, Research), the country's biggest lender, will get a licence to open in Malaysia when Chinese President Hu Jintao visits on Nov. 10-11, and a raft of commercial deals will be signed, the Straits Times newspaper reported.
