LOS ANGELES, July 5 (Reuters) - Following are the top 10 films at the North American box office for the three-day U.S. Independence Day holiday weekend beginning on July 3, according to studio estimates compiled on Sunday by Reuters.

"Public Enemies" was released by Universal Pictures, a unit of General Electric Co's (GE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) NBC Universal.
"The Proposal" was released by Touchstone Pictures, and "Up" by Walt Disney Pictures, both units of Walt Disney Co (DIS.N: Quote, Profile, Research).
"The Hangover" and "My Sister's Keeper" were released by Warner Bros Pictures, a unit of Time Warner Inc (TWX.N: Quote, Profile, Research).
