Chilean retailer Falabella net falls 14.6 pct

SANTIAGO, April 30 (Reuters) - Chile's Falabella FAL.SN, one of South America's top diversified retailers, said on Wednesday its first-quarter profit fell 14.6 percent year-on-year.

Falabella, which also has operations in Argentina, Peru and Colombia, said profit fell to 47.21 billion pesos ($108 million) from 55.31 billion pesos in the same period last year. ($1 = 437.71 Chilean pesos at the end of March) (Reporting by Manuel Farias; editing by John Wallace)
