India's GAIL to invest $810 million in 2008/09

NEW DELHI, May 13 (Reuters) - Indian gas transporter GAIL India Ltd (GAIL.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Tuesday it plans to invest 34.1 billion rupees ($810 million) in 2008/09.

This included 25.65 billion rupees towards pipeline projects and 5 billion rupees for exploration and production, the company said in a statement.

($1 = 42.1 Indian rupees)
