Repsol unit names Basque politician as new chair
MADRID, July 4 (Reuters) - Spanish energy company Repsol-YPF's (REP.MC: Quote, Profile, Research) regional unit Petronor named former Basque National Party chairman Josu Jon Imaz as its new chairman on Friday.
Imaz, who replaces Pedro Fernandez Frial, is also a former reasearch chemist and European Member of Parliament.
Based in the northeastern Basque Country, Petronor turned a profit of 294.6 million euros in 2007 and operates one of Spain's nine oil refineries, a plant in Bilbao with capacity of 220,000 barrels per day. (Reporting by Jesus Aguado: Writing by Martin Roberts; Editing by Quentin Bryar)
