Attack shuts in small amount of Shell Nigeria output
LAGOS, April 18 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Friday a small amount of its oil production in Nigeria had been shut in due to an apparent attack by rebels on a pipeline feeding into the Bonny terminal in the Niger Delta.
"An overfly today confirmed a leak along the Greater Port Harcourt Swamp Pipeline in Eastern operations. The leak appeared to have been caused by explosives," a spokeswoman for Shell in Nigeria said.
"We have isolated the damaged line and some small quantity of production has been shut in to enable repairs to take place." (Reporting by Nick Tattersall)
