OSLO, May 25 (Reuters) - North Sea gas pipeline operator Gassco said on Monday the Kollsnes gas processing plant on the Norwegian coast has been shut for repairs until June 6, while StatoilHydro (STL.OL: Quote, Profile, Research) said it shut three North Sea gas fields.

With daily processing capacity of up to 143 million standard cubic metres of gas and 69,000 barrels of natural gas liquids (NGL), Kollsnes is one of Norway's two main gas export plants supplying the European market.

"Kollsnes is shutting down now because of planned maintenance, which started today and will last for 12 days," Gassco spokeswoman Lisbet Kallevik said.

She said the stop would allow "planned valve work" at the plant, which was out for most of last week after a condensate leak last Tuesday, pushing up UK gas prices. The plant restarted on Friday, before again shutting down on Monday.  Continued...
