Apache CEO more cautious on 2008 production
HOUSTON, May 1 (Reuters) - The chief executive of oil and gas company Apache Corp (APA.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday the company's prior production goal for 2008 is attainable, but possible disruptions in the North Sea and Argentina have prompted the company to take a more conservative view.
CEO Steve Farris told analysts on a conference call that a production growth "range of 4 percent to 6 percent would probably be more conservative."
In its last earnings conference call, Farris said Apache forecast 2008 production growth of 6 percent. (Reporting by Anna Driver; editing by John Wallace)
