BP Carson hydrogen unit operating normally -sources

HOUSTON, May 2 (Reuters) - A hydrogen desulfurization unit at BP Plc's (BP.L: Quote, Profile, Research) 265,000 barrel per day Los Angeles-area refinery in Carson, California, was operating normally on Friday after a Wednesday restart, said sources familiar with refinery operations.

The unit shut down because of a malfunction on Monday night. The shutdown did not affect production at the refinery. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by John Picinich)
