Alon says Big Spring, Tx, CDU back after fire
NEW YORK, April 10 (Reuters) - Alon USA (ALJ.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday that it had successfully restarted a crude unit at its 67,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Big Spring, Texas, after a previous restart attempt failed Monday because of a fire.
"The unit is back up," a spokesman said.
The refinery is in the process of recovering from a major fire that struck in mid-February and Alon doesn't expect to resume full production from the plant until July.
With the successful restart of the crude unit, the refinery is running at about 35,000 bpd.
