BP Carson hydrocracker shut after fire - sources
HOUSTON, April 11 (Reuters) - The 45,000 barrel per day (bpd) hydrocracker was shut on Friday at BP Plc's (BP.L: Quote, Profile, Research) 265,000 bpd Los Angeles-area refinery in Carson, California, after a brief fire Thursday night, according to sources familiar with refinery operations.
A leak in an oil line feeding a compressor on the hydrocracking unit set off the small fire, which was quickly extinguished by BP workers, the sources said. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
