Exxon restarting Beaumont, TX, refinery FCC -state
HOUSTON, May 11 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) was restarting a 118,000-barrel-per-day gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit at its 349,000-bpd Beaumont, Texas, refinery over the weekend, according to a notice filed Saturday with state pollution regulators.
A carbon monoxide boiler on the cat cracker shut down and was restarted Saturday while work to restart the FCC was underway, according to the notice, filed with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Exxon began a planned two-month overhaul of the cat cracker on March 13 and had said in regulatory filings the work could last through May 15. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; editing by John Wallace)
