BP preparing to restart alky unit at Texas City - source
NEW YORK, May 15 (Reuters) - BP (BP.L: Quote, Profile, Research) is preparing to restart a 55,000 barrel per day alkylation unit at its 417,000 bpd refinery in Texas City, Texas, according to a source familiar with refinery operations.
The alkylation unit was expected to be restarted this week, but the source did not have information on a definite restart date.
A gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking unit, which was shut after a late April glitch, remains shut with no restart estimate. (Reporting by Rebekah Kebede; Editing by John Picinich)
