O'MELVENY & MYERS LPP

The law firm said Sherri Snelson, an acquisition finance lawyer, will be joining its London office as a partner and member of the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets Practice.

Snelson most recently was a partner at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in London.

SOCIETE GENERALE (SOGN.PA: Quote, Profile, Research)

The French bank said it has hired investment banker Thierry d'Argent from Wall Street rival JP Morgan (JPM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) as part of a plan to strengthen its mergers and acquisitions team. [ID:nLI344977]

BARCLAYS CAPITAL (BARC.L: Quote, Profile, Research)

The investment bank has appointed Timothy Last managing director, head of equity derivatives flow sales, non-Japan Asia. He will be based in Hong Kong. Last was most recently with Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong, where he was head of equity derivatives sales in Asia-Pacific.  Continued...
