- Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Sunday pledged to ensure that Malaysia would continue to be peaceful and safe despite perceptions to the contrary.

- Private investigator P. Balasubramaniam could have been detained by "interested parties", Federal Criminal Investigation Department Director Bakri Zinin said.
