Spain's smaller banks will have to resize - minister
SANTANDER, June 15 (Reuters) - Spain's smaller banks are bound to see some changes to their size amid the turbulance in the financial sector, Economy Minister Elena Salgado said on Tuesday.
"Although we don't see any major institution needing restructuring, some resizing at the others is inevitable," Salgado said at a banking conference.
At the same conference, BBVA (BBVA.MC: Quote, Profile, Research) chairman Francisco Gonzalez said his bank had no need to issue shares to raise capital.
