CAIRO, May 12 (Reuters) - Commercial International Bank COMI.CA(COMIq.L: Quote, Profile, Research), Egypt's largest lender by market value, said on Monday its net profit rose 67 percent to 422.9 million Egyptian pounds ($78.9 million).

Shares in the bank, which said last year it was in talks to merge with Cairo-based Arab African International Bank, last traded 3.73 percent lower at 80.99 Egyptian pounds. (Writing by Aziz El-Kaissouni, editing by Will Waterman)
