(Adds with details and terms of rights issue)

LISBON, April 28 (Reuters) - Millennium bcp (BCP.LS: Quote, Profile, Research), Portugal's largest listed bank, said on Monday it had successfully carried out a 1.3 billion euro ($2 billion) rights issue to shore up its finances.

"The rights offering coordinator hereby announces that the share capital increase referred to in Banco Comercial Portugues (or Millennium bcp) ... has been fully subscribed," the bank said in a statement.

The operation resulted in the issuance of 1,083,270,433 new ordinary shares with a par value of one euro each.

Millennium shareholders who subsribed to the rights issue were entitled to about three new Millennium bcp shares for every 10 shares they held in the bank at a discount price of 1.2 euros each.

The bank did not provide details as to possible changes in its shareholder base resulting from the capital increase.

The shares closed on Monday up 0.53 pct at 1.88 euros but are down almost 30 percent this year. (Reporting by Henrique Almeida; Editing by David Cowell)
