Pop Milano's online bank targets 120,000 customers
MILAN, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Banca Popolare di Milano (PMII.MI: Quote, Profile, Research), Italy's fifth largest retail bank, is aiming for 120,000 online customers and earnings before interest and tax of 22 million euros, its online unit said on Wednesday.
At a presentation Banca WeBank gave the targets for the combined operation of its unit We@Service and WeTrade, which it acquired in the summer from Intesa Sanpaolo (ISP.MI: Quote, Profile, Research), and after getting Bank of Italy approval.
"These numbers are sustainable and we hope to exceed them," Andrea Cardamone, director general of WeBank said.
Currently WeBank has 45,000 customers and will add 35,000 from WeTrade.
