La Caixa issues up to 2 bln eur in preferred shares
LONDON, May 21 (Reuters) - Spanish savings bank La Caixa said on Thursday it plans to issue between 1.5 and 2 billion euros in preferred shares to help it raise capital.
Investors can subscribe to a minimum of 30,000 euros in preferred shares from May 26 and will receive 6 percent a year interest on the shares for the first two years, followed by three month Euribor plus 3.5 percent.
La Caixa, Spain's largest savings bank, has core capital of 8.9 percent.
