UniCredit net to beat 2007 this year-spokesman

MILAN, May 8 (Reuters) - UniCredit (CRDI.MI: Quote, Profile, Research) will turn in net profit between 6.8 billion and 7.3 billion euros this year, up from 6.566 billion in 2007, a spokesman for Italy's biggest bank said on Thursday.

"We will beat the 2007 result," he told Reuters. UniCredit had said with its first quarter results it expected earnings per share would be between 0.52 and 0.56 euros this year.
