June 24 (Reuters) - The following financial services industry appointments were announced on Wednesday. To inform us of other job changes, please email moves@thomsonreuters.com.

The investment banking and research firm announced that Todd Ackerman has joined the firm as a managing director and head of the institutional sales desk in Boston.

In addition, James Lilly has joined as a managing director in the investment banking group and will lead the firm's healthcare services practice.

KPMG LLP

The U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm said it appointed Drew Koecher as the leader of the firm's restructuring services group, which works with companies, lenders and other stakeholders in stressed and distressed situations.

Koecher will lead a dedicated group of U.S. restructuring partners and professionals. The U.S. team will also work closely with other global teams of restructuring professionals from KPMG International's member firms.

Koecher was most recently national service leader for transaction services and the Americas leader for global accounting advisory services. He joined KPMG a decade ago.  Continued...
