Gazprom to sell gas to Belgian firms-report
BRUSSELS, May 17 (Reuters) - Russia's Gazprom (GAZP.MM: Quote, Profile, Research), the world's biggest natural gas company, has secured a licence to sell gas to industrial customers in Belgium, newspaper De Tijd reported on Saturday.
Gazprom is the 25th company to receive such a permit in the country, where gas sales are dominated by Distrigas (DISTy.BR: Quote, Profile, Research), the Belgian gas trading arm of French utility Suez (LYOE.PA: Quote, Profile, Research), and Gaz de France GAZ.PA.
The newspaper said Gazprom has not yet approached any potential clients in Belgium.
