BANGALORE, May 21 (Reuters) - Bristow Group Inc (BRS.N: Quote, Profile, Research), which provides helicopter services to the offshore energy industry, posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit, aided by improvement in its business in Europe, West Africa and Latin America.

However, shares of the company dropped by as much as 10 percent Thursday on the New York Stock Exchange tracking a fall in overall markets.

"You have got oil down today, so that is impacting Bristow," Jesup and Lamont Securities analyst Lewis Kreps told Reuters.  Continued...
