Lufthansa considers buying Brussels Airlines-paper

FRANKFURT, April 28 (Reuters) - German airline Lufthansa (LHAG.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) is considering buying Belgian operator Brussels Airlines, German paper Handelsblatt reported, citing unidentified people in the aviation industry.

Both companies have been negotiating for some time but were not able to value the Belgian company, the paper said in a pre-released article in Tuesday's edition.

Both airlines declined to comment, Handelsblatt said. (Reporting by Peter Dinkloh)
