Chairman of Spain's La Seda resigns

MADRID, June 9 (Reuters) - The chairman of Spanish synthetic chemicals company La Seda de Barcelona (SED.MC: Quote, Profile, Research) Rafael Espanol has resigned, the company said on Tuesday in a statement.

Deputy chairman Joan Castells will take Espanol's place at the head of the company, La Seda said.

The group's board also voted to suspend a shareholders meeting due end-June. (Reporting by Paul Day)
