Avery Dennison sees sales "pressure" for rest of year
NEW YORK, April 22 (Reuters) - Label maker Avery Dennison Corp (AVY.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Tuesday that it does not expect business conditions to improve in the second half of the year, citing first-quarter retail conditions.
Avery Dennison said it expects customers to start reducing inventories due to declining demand, putting additional pressures on revenues for the remainder of the year. Chief Executive Officer Dean Scarborough gave the outlook to analysts and investors in a conference call that followed the company's quarterly earnings report.
