KGHM says names deputy CEO Wirth as acting head

WARSAW, June 15 (Reuters) - Polish copper miner KGHM KGHM.WA has appointed current deputy Chief Officer Herbert Wirth as acting head of the company, it said in a statement late on Monday.

The term of the current Chief Executive, Miroslaw Krutin, ends on Tuesday and KGHM also said it decided to launch a contest for the new head.
