E.ON says has not ruled out British Energy bid

LONDON, April 16 (Reuters) - E.ON EONG.DE has not ruled out a bid for British nuclear-power provider British Energy (BGY.L: Quote, Profile, Research), a spokesman for the world's largest utility said on Wednesday.

"We are keeping our options open regarding British Energy," the spokesman said after the firm denied reports in the German Financial Times newspaper that it was not interested in BE. (reporting by Marc Jones)
