Ingenico Q1 sales up 7.7 percent

PARIS, April 23 (Reuters) - French electronic payment systems provider Ingenico (INGC.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday its first-quarter sales rose 7.7 percent compared with the same quarter last year to 128 million euros.

Sales rose 11.2 percent on a like for like basis.

"Revenue for the second quarter should record very strong sequential growth, as it will include sales from the businesses transferred by Sagem Securite and benefit from the seasonality of Ingenico's sales," the company said in a statement.

Ingenico and Safran (SAF.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) unit Sagem merged electronic payments businesses in December. (Reporting by Dominique Vidalon; Editing by Richard Hubbard)
