UPDATE 1-Vodafone, Carphone to resume sales deal -paper
(Adds Vodafone could not immediately be reached) LONDON, June 7 (Reuters) - Vodafone Group Plc (VOD.L: Quote, Profile, Research) is expected to resume a sales agreement with Carphone Warehouse Group Plc (CPW.L: Quote, Profile, Research), ending a three-year dispute, the Sunday Times reported, citing no sources.
The deal would result in Vodafone mobile contracts being sold in Carphone's 800 UK stores for the first time since 2006 when Vodafone switched to an exclusive agreement with Phones4U, the paper said.
No-one at Vodafone could immediately be reached for comment.
Vodafone, the world's largest mobile phone firm by revenue, said last month it would accelerate cost-cutting plans after forecasting flat profits at best for 2010 and announcing a 5.9 billion pound ($9.1 billion) impairment charge. [ID:nLI336705] (Reporting by Julie Crust; Editing by David Holmes)
