LONDON, March 4 (Reuters) - UEFA has opened disciplinary
proceedings following the "improper conduct of supporters"
during the UEFA Cup tie between Brann Bergen and Everton in
Norway last month.
"Evidence referring to pitch invasions by spectators and the
throwing of missiles has been submitted to the UEFA Control and
Disciplinary Body, which will decide on the matter at its next
meeting on Thursday 20 March," UEFA said in a statement on
Tuesday.
Everton won the first knockout round, first leg match 2-0 on
Feb 13 before thrashing the Norwegians 6-1 at Goodison Park to
reach the last 16.
