Soccer - Belgian Tom Saintfiet has been named coach of Namibia but only for the remaining two matches of the country's World Cup qualifying campaign.
The 35-year-old, who has worked previously in Qatar, Germany, the Faroe Islands, the Netherlands and Finland, replaces Dutchman Ari Schans, who resigned after Namibia suffered three successive defeats. Namibia are bottom of the African qualifying zone Group Two with three points from four matches.
Soccer - Gunmen kidnapped the brother of Everton and Nigeria defender Joseph Yobo at a Nigerian hotel, police said on Sunday.
Norum Yobo was seized on Saturday by four gunmen in Port Harcourt, said Rivers state police spokeswoman Rita Inoma-Abbey. No group has claimed responsibility.
Hundreds of locals and foreigners have been abducted, and mostly released in exchange for money, in the oil-rich Niger Delta region where crime and militancy surged until late 2007 when there was a lull. Premier League Everton said in a statement they would do all they could to help Joseph Yobo.
