Villa trounced their city rivals to take their goalscoring spree to 15 in three Premier League games.

Ashley Young's powerful strike put Villa ahead and John Carew headed a second just before halftime. Young and Carew both scored again after the break with Gabriel Agbonlahor adding a fifth after Mikael Forsell had pulled one back for City.

Defeat left City in the relegation zone while Villa closed the gap on fifth-placed Everton for a UEFA Cup berth next season.
